LEBANON, Ore. - Firefighters tackled two simultaneous fires on Sunday evening, according to Lebanon Fire District officials.

Fire authorities said that crews responded shortly after 5:30 p.m. on Sept. 21 to the first blaze in the 400 block of Morton Street, followed shortly by another incident reported within minutes in the 3400 block of Bald Eagle Drive.

According to the Lebanon Fire District, both fires required extensive resources from multiple agencies. On Morton Street, firefighters found a single-family home with heavy fire impacting a garage and nearby structures. A volunteer firefighter and neighbors attempted to control the flames with a garden hose before crews arrived. As firefighters prepared to enter the home, the lone occupant emerged safely.
