A hair transplant from south of the border is setting up shop in Pelham.

Josh Argueta is offering not only haircuts, but haircutting classes to other barbers and at-home do-it-yourselfers to refine their skills.

The owner of The Lab Barber Co. opened his business in late August at 145 Hwy. 20 E. after moving from Pocatello, Idaho, as his wife is from Toronto.

“There was a spot available for rent, not too far from (my home), and there’s not a ton of barbers around this area and so I decided to open up a shop,” he said.

“I want my shop to be known for (a place to) get the best quality haircuts, even though I’m in a small town,” he said.

Offering haircutting classes is a passion for Argueta, as “you can be good at cutting hair, but teaching is a whole different skill set.”
