BANGOR, Maine (WABI) - It’s National Child Passenger Safety Week. Nearly 100 experts from throughout Maine gathered in Bangor Monday to sure up their knowledge.

“If you have the passion for child safety, this is the place to be,” said Erica Davis, Highway Safety Coordinator, Maine Bureau of Highway Safety.

National Child Passenger Safety Week is all about keeping our most precious cargo safe on the road.

“Here in Maine, we take child safety very seriously, especially when it comes to car seats,” Davis said. “That’s why we’re always looking for more certified technicians in Maine, as many as possible. So, if anyone has any sort of interest in becoming a technician, we’re always looking for more because child safety is so important.”
