Toronto police are searching for an 18-year-old man in connection with the shooting death of a 23-year-old Toronto rapper in Scarborough last week.

Douvon Ellis, also known by the alias Douvou, is wanted on a Canada-wide warrant for first-degree murder, said Det.-Sgt. Phillip Campbell with Toronto Police Service at a news conference Monday.

"Do the right thing, seek council and turn yourself in," said Campbell to the suspect. "I should also say, if you are harbouring or aiding this individual in any way, remember that you can face charges as well."

Shakur Clarke-Sargeant died after a shooting in a townhouse complex near Kingston Road and Galloway Road on the evening of Sept. 15. Clarke-Sargeant was an east-end rapper who went by the name Ytn Paco, confirmed Campbell.
