The Big Ten has six nationally ranked teams as conference play kicks off this week.
Nebraska stayed at No. 1 in the AVCA poll for the fifth week. The other Big Ten teams in the poll are Wisconsin (seventh), Purdue (10), Minnesota (12), Penn State (15) and Southern California (17).
The six ranked Big Ten teams are one fewer than the preseason poll, with UCLA having fallen out of the rankings with a 6-4 record.
Nebraska opens league play on Wednesday against Michigan in Lincoln. The 6 p.m. match is on BTN.
Nebraska received 57 of the first-place votes, with Texas getting the remaining four.
