(WAND) - Despite parts of Central Illinois receiving rain over the weekend, other areas are still experiencing very dry conditions on the first official day of fall.
The conditions put much of the region at risk of wildfires, which is why many burn bans have been issued in communities and counties throughout the area.
WAND News will keep you up to date on burn bans as they come in and whether they have been lifted.
Coles County
The burn ban in Coles County will remain in effect until further notice.
The Coles County Emergency Management Agency posted an update on Facebook on Sept. 22 stating that the ban will remain in place due to "minuscule rain totals."
