Disney is finally breaking its late night TV silence, with Jimmy Kimmel set to return to ABC.

Jimmy Kimmel Live was pulled from ABC’s lineup last Wednesday following backlash from the FCC and local TV giants such as Nexstar over comments Kimmel made regarding the death of conservative activist Charlie Kirk.

Now, in a newly released statement, Disney, ABC’s parent company, is explaining the situation and announcing the return of Jimmy Kimmel Live.

“Last Wednesday, we made the decision to suspend production on the show to avoid further inflaming a tense situation at an emotional moment for our country.
