FAIRLEA, WV (WVNS) -- A DUI checkpoint will be held in part of Greenbrier County towards the end of September.
According to a press release, members of the West Virginia State Police will hold a DUI checkpoint from 6:00 p.m. to 12:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 25, 2025 on US Route 219 in the Fairlea area of Greenbrier County.
The press release stated that the checkpoint is meant to find and deter people from driving while impaired, as well as inform the public about the risks of driving while impaired by drugs and/or alcohol.
According to the press release, the public is encouraged to report any impaired drivers as a way to help members of law enforcement prevent DUI incidents.
