WASHINGTON, N.C. (WNCT) — Two Apex men were arrested following a shooting Sunday night in Washington, police said.

The suspects were apprehended after officers initiated a traffic stop on a vehicle matching the description of the one involved in the shooting, according to the Washington Police Department.

Police said they identified the suspects as 20-year-old Kahlil O'Badiyah Rogers and 19-year-old Shakur Warren, both of Apex. They are both charged with assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill inflicting serious injury.

According to Washington police, Warren was injured during the incident. He was treated at ECU Health Beaufort before being released.

Both suspects were not given bond, according to Washington police.
