SPRINGFIELD, Mass. (WGGB/WSHM) - The Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles is finally transitioning its driver’s education class back to in-person learning more than five years after the Covid-19 pandemic forced it to go remote.

The change started Monday with all classroom instruction reverting to the original in-person format.

RMV officials said this will enhance student engagement, strengthen learning outcomes, provide equal opportunities for all schools, and improve road safety.
