A suspected thief led Abington police on a foot chase inside the Willow Grove Park Mall in Montgomery County Saturday.

The man was suspected of stealing from the Macy's. Staff at the store reported that the man was putting items inside a red bag and walked out without paying for it.

According to the police report, when officers approached the man, he dropped the red bag and ran. He ran past shoppers on the first floor, up to the second floor when police caught up to him.

When they tried to arrest him, he resisted, injuring an officer's knee, according to police.

They say he got away again, and led officers on another foot chase outside the mall across Easton Road. He was eventually caught in someone's
