The 15-kilometre Tour de Rock ride officially launching the 2025 Tour de Rock from Admirals Walk on Saturday (Sept. 20) was a drop in the bucket compared to the rest of the cancer fundraiser slated to return to Victoria in two weeks.

The Vancouver Island version of the Cops for Cancer bike ride to raise funds for families facing a cancer diagnosis includes 18 law enforcement and emergency services personnel alongside media and community representatives cycling 1,200 kilometres from Port Alice.

Tour de Rock riders will engage area residents with stops at schools, local businesses and community events on their journey across the region to raise funds to support children affected by cancer and their families.
