SAN ANGELO, Texas (Concho Valley Homepage) — Ozona's very own running back Christian Villarreal, has won the Week 1 Built Ford Tough Player of the Week award.

Ford created the Texas High School Football - Ford Player of the Week award and is celebrating its 20th Anniversary this season. Each week, this award recognizes and celebrates student-athletes for their accomplishments on the football field, in the classroom, and in the community.

Villareal rushed for 371 yards on 18 attempts against McCamey Badgers. He scored 7 touchdowns in this 65-0 shutout Week 1 match-up. It was the second straight year that Villarreal claimed the Built Ford Tough Player of the Week for his season-opening performance.
