The final flanged tritium waste container at Los Alamos National Laboratory is expected to be depressurized Tuesday, according to a Monday morning post on X from the New Mexico Environment Department.

The operation, originally scheduled for Monday, was postponed due to rain in the forecaset.

The first of the four containers — which contain tritium waste dating back to weapons developed during the Cold War — was depressurized last week. The second and third containers were both depressurized over the weekend.
