SPOKANE, Wash. – A detached garage caught fire on East Indiana on Monday at around 12:49 p.m. The fire has since been controlled.

The Spokane Fire Department (SFD) said one resident suffered smoke inhalation.

The cause of the fire is still under investigation.

Smoke inhalation is an injury to the throat and respiratory system, and requires medical treatment.
