CONCORD, N.C. — Vice President JD Vance will visit Concord on Wednesday to promote the Trump administration's policies for working Americans, the White House announced on Monday.

Vance is scheduled to give remarks about President Donald Trump's tax cuts for working families and the White House's "commitment to empowering state and local law enforcement." WRAL-TV in Raleigh reported that Vance is also expected to discuss public safety and provisions in the "One Big Beautiful Bill." It's his first official trip to North Carolina since taking office.

Details of the visit haven't been released, including where Vance will be speaking. Vance's Concord stop comes as North Carolina and federal officials respond to the brutal stabbing death of Iryna Zarutska on Charlotte's light rail in August.
