HENDERSONVILLE, Tenn. (WKRN) — New speed limit signage could be coming to a portion of roadway in Hendersonville.
It's an area that currently has no posted speed limit, but a growing number of drivers on the road have made it necessary to add one, according to city leaders.
Glenbrook Way is in a suburban area of Hendersonville with some retail stores along the road frontage. It's not a long stretch of road, but the city said the need for speed limit signage is evident.
In the Hendersonville city limits, if there is no speed limit sign posted, the default speed limit is 30 miles per hour. But the city recently discovered the 85th percentile speed was averaging 37 miles per hour.
But this summer one alderman requested the road be evaluated in order to put signs up.
