JOHNSTON CITY — A school bus carrying approximately 30 children was hit from behind on Illinois 37 during its Monday morning route. Some students involved were evaluated for minor injuries.

According to the Williamson County Sheriff's Office, deputies were called at 7:25 a.m. Monday to a traffic crash involving a Johnston City school bus on Illinois 37 at Foxcroft Drive between West Frankfort and Johnston City.
