YORK COUNTY, Va. (WAVY) — A single engine plane crashed off of Lightfoot Road in the Williamsburg area Monday afternoon, Virginia State Police said.

State Police said there were no injuries in the crash, which took place at 213 Lightfoot Road and was called in at 5:26 p.m. The pilot was the only person in the plane, according to State Police.

The pilot was was taken to an area hospital to be evaluated and checked out.

Troopers were still on the scene investigating the crash.
