CHERRY VALLEY, Ill. — A Rockford highway interchange project will be completed this week.

IDOT announced that the new ramp from southbound I-39 to US 20/Harrison Ave. will open on Tuesday, Sept. 23. Lane shifts will occur on the same day to accommodate the ramp.

Work to shift traffic exiting southbound I-39 onto the new ramp will start Tuesday and continue into the morning on Wednesday.

All other I-39 ramps and US 20/Harrison Ave. traffic flows will stay the same.
