There are once again calls for the AFL to overhaul the Brownlow Medal voting system after the room was left stunned by one moment during Monday night's count.
Field umpires are responsible for allocating their 3-2-1 votes at the end of each game and they are not permitted to view any player stats before doing so.
The votes are then locked in a vault and only opened on Brownlow night, meaning they can't be altered with hindsight.
