Victoria radio host Al Ferraby’s high-profile lawyer says Ferraby intends to plead not guilty after being charged last week with two counts of child luring.
“He’ll be pleading not guilty,” said Brock Martland, Ferraby’s lawyer, in an email to CHEK News on Monday.
Martland has previously acted as defence counsel in high-profile cases like Jake Virtanen’s sexual assault trial, the Surrey six murder trial and appeals, and the Air India terrorist bombing.
Ferraby is facing one count of telecommunicating to lure a child under 16 years to commit sexual interference or sexual touching, and one count of telecommunicating to lure a child under 18 to facilitate the commission of child pornography.
