FARGO — Behavioral health clinics are marking National Recovery Month with community activities and creative projects.

This week, the Southeast Clinic and their partner, House of Hope, are decorating a tree. Each day has a theme highlighting different parts of recovery, such as overall health, environment, community and purpose.

A daily question is posted to help those in recovery reflect on their journey. Participants can use stickers or write their answers on paper ornaments to hang on the tree for others to see.

"Just to know and understand that they're not alone .. .others are here, probably dealing with the same things, the same fears, the same excitement, the same journey that they're experiencing," said Alex Thomas, assistant director at Southeast Human Service Center.
