Boston Police report they are looking for a guy they say set some trash cans on fire in the Common around 2:30 p.m., then moseyed on over to Commonwealth Avenue, where he set several more trash containers ablaze.

Boston firefighters, who doused both sets of flaming trash, reported three trash cans set on fire on the Common behind the Boylston Green Line stop on the Tremont Street side, then another four or five cans set on fire about a half hour later on Comm. Ave. near Berkeley Street.

Anybody who recognizes the Common flamer can call detectives at 617-343-2202 or contact the anonymous tip line by calling 1-800-494-TIPS or by texting TIP to CRIME (27463).
