MONROE, La. (KNOE) - After two major delays , construction on the Buc-ee’s in Ruston is officially underway.
Dirt work began early on September 22, as contractors moved soil and began renovating the intersection near the site.
The Ruston City Council first confirmed the Buc-ee’s location in 2023, but progress stalled until now.
Mayor Ronny Walker says the project is expected to bring significant economic benefits to the region, including hundreds of new jobs.
