WEST DES MOINES, Iowa — The North Dakota State men's golf remains in fourth place following the first day of the Zach Johnson Invitational on Monday at Glen Oaks Country Club.

The Bison shot a 16-over 584 after two rounds, including a 7-over 291 in the first round and 9-over 293 in the second.

NDSU's Jake Skarperud sits in third place after shooting a 2-under 140. Skarperud is two shots behind South Dakota's Jack Holtz and North Dakota's Carver Larson, who lead with 4-under 138s.

The Bison's Andrew Ballou, who golfed as an individual, is tied for ninth with a 1-over 143.

NDSU trails event leader North Dakota by 16 strokes after the Fighting Hawks fired an even-par 568.

Indian Hills Community College finished with a 4-over 572 for second place and South Dakota is in third place with an
