JACKSON COUNTY, W.Va. (WSAZ) - Calling for help is as easy as pressing a button.
So when parent Montana Boggess found out her children would be extra protected at school due to emergency panic buttons, she was excited.
“I think as a parent and on a public safety aspect, it’s great to see anyone taking any proactive to safeguard the children and staff at the schools, so I think it’s a really exciting thing and I am happy they are getting to do this,” Boggess said.
At the last board meeting on Thursday, the Jackson County Board of Education unanimously voted to provide staff with emergency panic buttons.
