BOWLING GREEN, Ky. (WBKO) - Back in April, Bowling Green experienced historical rain fall that caused flooding, sink holes and a significant amount of property damage.

Since then, Bowling Green Public Works is consistently preparing for storms in the future.

According to public works there have been 5 federally declared disasters in Bowling Green since the winter of 2021.

The City of Bowling Green has made investments for more heavy machinery, like a knuckle boom, that can easily move debris from storm damage.

A knuckle boom is similar to a large claw machine that can grab large piles of Debris. The knuckle boom can move up to 24 cubic yards worth of debris per load.
