CINCINNATI (WXIX) - Loved ones of District 1 homicides gathered at the intersection of Ezzard Charles and Linn Street Monday night to support one another, leading up to the National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims this Thursday.
The National Day of Remembrance for Murder Victims is observed annually on Sept. 25, a day set aside by Congress in 2007 to recognize the impact deadly violence has on communities.
Cincinnati police victims’ advocates were passing out flyers of dozens of homicide victims, whose cases remain unsolved.
“We want to bring it inside the community; this is where it happened. We want people to remember this is where it happened, especially for the unsolved homicides, because these families are still waiting for justice,” said Cincinnati Police victim advocate, Ka
