KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- On Monday, The U.S. Food and Drug Administration announced plans to begin the process of adding warning labels to Tylenol and other products with acetaminophen.
Those labels would warn pregnant women it could increase the risk of children being born with autism.
FOX4 has heard from medical professionals and autism advocates who don't support the push from President Donald Trump and Health and Human Services Director Robert F. Kennedy Jr.
They say not only is there very little evidence to support the claims, it's harmful to families.
The FDA said it wants parents and doctors aware of "quote a considerable body of evidence about potential risks associated with acetaminophen."
