(WJET/WFXP)-- One person was taken to the hospital Monday morning and another is facing criminal charges after a shooting at a Chautauqua County home.
According to the Chautauqua County Sheriff's Office, the shooting happened at a home in the Town of Gerry around 10 am, with the victim suffering non-life-threatening injuries.
By the time deputies and members of New York State Police arrived, the alleged shooter, 35-year-old Toni Long of Sinclairville, had fled the home while the victim was taken to UPMC Chautauqua for treatment.
Police said they were able to find Long a short time later and take her into custody on charges of first-degree reckless endangerment, third-degree assault and second-degree menacing.
She's being held in the Chautauqua County Jail pending arraignment.
