TEMPLE, Texas — Residents on Old Howard Road in Temple say a wave of fires has left them on edge, and many believe the blazes are no accident.

At least nine properties have caught fire in recent weeks, neighbors told 6 News. The damage has ranged from abandoned homes to hay bales, fueling fears that someone may be intentionally setting the fires.

"It's scary. I don't want to be here anymore because houses are going up in flames, and now you're burning hay bales right across from my house," said Jessie Osetreich, who owns property on the street.

Osetreich said she recorded video of a fire on her land around 5 a.m. on Sept. 19. None of her livestock were harmed, but all of her hay bales were destroyed.

"We lost all 60 bales of hay, and whatever 60 times about 85 bucks a bale is," Osetrei
