WBUR reports a weekend vote recount failed to get Domingos DaRosa the 600 or so extra votes he needed to get on the November ballot for mayor after second-place finisher Josh Kraft dropped out, so Michelle Wu will be the only name printed on the ballot in November.
Under state law, DaRosa would have only moved onto November after Kraft's downfall if he had gotten at least 3,000 votes - the same number of signatures required to get on the preliminary ballot, but he only got about 2,400.
In a statement, Wu said she'll still be campaigning, both for herself and for allies on the City Council, presumably including Henry Santana, who finished four in the race for one of the four at-large seats, ahead of Frank Baker, who would be nowhere near as friendly to Wu's initiatives as Santana, who bef
