A police officer had to dive for cover as a Motherwell man threw gym weights from his third-floor window and threatened to shoot cops trying to get in.
Gary Clark, 37, was armed with a knife when officers turned up around 2pm on August 19, having received an anonymous call about a domestic disturbance, reports Lanarkshire Live .
They heard a male voice shout from inside the Mellor Place flat: 'You're a grass' and 'I'm going to do you'.
Daniel Toner, prosecuting, told the court: "The officers knocked on the door but the accused reacted angrily, saying he had a knife and would self-harm if they came in.
"He also shouted that he had a gun and would shoot them .
"The officers requested that further constables attend as the accused continued to berate them.
