Marian Evelyn Sloan, age 88 of Kingston Springs, TN, went to her heavenly home on September 21, 2025, with family by her side.

Mrs. Sloan was born in Dickson, TN, on October 25, 1936. She was one of ten children of the late Claggett and Helen Mae Castell Talley. Marian spent her early years in Hohenwald, TN. The Talleys were a tight-knit family. In adulthood, those siblings would vacation together and organize family Christmas events, often reaching over 100 in attendance.

For a while, Marian worked at the General Shoe factory in Hohenwald. On Nov. 15, 1956, she married James Lloyd Sloan, Jr.; it was the beginning of a rich and meaningful relationship, full of adventure. Mr. Sloan had a hobby and a love of antique cars and flying.
