MERIDEN, Conn. (WTNH) -- Meriden is set to hold a town hall on Tuesday to discuss cuts for Medicaid and SNAP benefits.
The meeting will explore the impacts the changes will have on residents and their families.
Those changes at the federal level have impacted a significant number of people in Connecticut.
To put this into perspective, there are approximately 900,000 residents on HUSKY (Connecticut's Medicaid Program) and 400,000 on SNAP.
SNAP is the program that provides food stamps to low-income families.

The Commonwealth Fund says federal funding cuts could also cost the state about 9-thousand jobs.
During Tuesday's town hall, affected residents are expected to speak about their experiences wi
