CALEXICO — The Calexico City Council discussed finding out more about city priorities and capital improvement projects as well as timelines for the projects and wanted to schedule a workshop within 60 days.

New Public Works Director Jesus Viegas told the council on Wednesday, September 17, the 30-day proposal to hold a workshop was too short of a time frame and asked for 60 to 80 days to be able to address all of the commitments.

“I am fine with 60 days, but I want a 30-day update,” said Council member Lisa Tylenda. “I don’t need details, but tell me what the 60 projects are. Can I have a list of ideas so I know what’s going on.”
