A popular Bothwell restaurant gutted in a 'deliberate' blaze has announced that it will not reopen this year.
Emergency services rushed to Cut Bothwell on Old Mill Road after the alarm was raised at around 2.35am on Saturday, September 13. Four fire engines were dispatched to the scene at the height of the fire, which was put out at 10.20am.
Restaurant management previously confirmed that the fire gutted the main hall of the premises but the bar, dining area and kitchen remain largely damage-free. Now, two weeks on from the blaze, management has confirmed that the diner will not reopen until 2026.
In an Instagram post, bosses wrote: "It is with great sadness that we announce that Cut will not reopen this year. We have contacted all affected bookings.
