The Medicine Hat Tigers swung a pair of trades on Monday.
The Tigers acquired 19-year-old forward Cam Parr from the Spokane Chiefs in exchange for a 2027 eighth-round pick. A few hours later the team announced a trade with the Portland Winterhawks, sending goaltender Cruz Chase to the U.S. division for a 2026 eighth-round pick.
Parr had four goals and 12 points in 59 games last season with Spokane. In their run to the WHL finals, the La Salle, Man. product had two goals and five points in 20 games. He was held scoreless in the WHL Championship Series against the Tigers.
Parr is the younger brother of Saskatoon Blades’ captain Tyler Parr. In his WHL career he has nine goals and 31 points in 166 career games. With the the trade, the Tigers have 16 forwards on
