HOUSTON (KIAH) — Today, the National Weather Service (NWS) is forecasting a slight chance of showers, and the possibility of showers and thunderstorms developing after 10 a.m.

Some of these storms have the potential to produce heavy rainfall. The outlook suggests mostly sunny conditions, with a high temperature forecast to be around 90 degrees. The wind will be coming from the south at speeds between 5 and 10 miles per hour.

Tonight, NWS reports there is a 10% chance of showers and thunderstorms before 7 p.m. The evening will be mostly clear, with a low temperature expected to be around 78 degrees.

Five Day Outlook

Hot temperatures and rain chances prevail into midweek, but drier and slightly cooler conditions await us in the wake of a midweek cold front.
