It’s a non-profit organization with a unique mission: helping people find their inner child by encouraging play, recreation and competitive sport. But the true raison d’etre of its small but mighty team of merrymakers is all about fostering the kind of human connections we all crave at home and work.
“The average person spends over 90,000 hours at work in their lifetime, so you might as well enjoy the people you work with,” says Jacquie Li, executive director of Calgary Corporate Challenge , which is celebrating its 30th year in the city. “We want people to have fun, but it’s also about building bonds of trust and understanding.”
