PORTLAND, Ore. (KOIN) -- Warming winds, wildfire smoke and summer heat return to western Oregon and southwest Washington Tuesday.
A northeasterly wind will help push wildfire smoke back over the Portland-Vancouver area Tuesday. Easterly winds will not only increase the haze seen across the area, but will also help warm valley temperatures into the mid to upper 80s.
Wildfire smoke driven by easterly winds could impact the air quality across western Oregon and southwest Washington. Some downsloping winds could reach almost 20-25 mph during the afternoon hours. Much of the same is expected to be seen and felt Wednesday.
Dry skies are expected to last through the end of the week and into the weekend.
High pressure will keep warm, sunny and dry conditions over much of the Pacific Northwest.
