The Weeknd will no longer perform at Global Citizen Festival , with the international pop star citing “personal reasons” for his cancellation.

The “Blinding Lights” singer, who was initially announced as part of this year’s lineup, revealed that he was pulling out of the New York event on his Instagram story Monday.

“I regret to share that, due to personal reasons, I am unable to perform at Global Citizen,” he wrote. “Thank you to my fans for taking action with them, as I believe in their mission deeply. Thank you for your understanding and support.”

Global Citizen later revealed that Cardi B, who’s long-awaited sophomore album “Am I The Drama?” dropped this past Friday, will join this year’s lineup.
