NAUGATUCK, CT (WFSB) - A 36-year-old man from Bridgeport was charged with first-degree manslaughter for a deadly drug overdose case in Naugatuck.

Rodney Coriano was also charged with the sale of hallucinogenic narcotics.

Naugatuck police said the charges were in connection with the overdose death of 51-year-old James Gramolini of Seymour on March 23, 2025.

“Naugatuck police responded responded to a residence in Naugatuck for a suspected overdose,” said Lt. Alexia McMasters, public information officer for the Naugatuck Police Department. “Officers located the victim at his residence.”

Gramolini was pronounced dead at the scene.

Detectives found bags that contained a white powdery substance consistent with heroin and fentanyl.
