An investigation is ongoing after, officials said, a 19-year-old man was injured in a shooting that happened on Monday night in the West Oak Lane section of Philadelphia.

According to police, the incident happened at about 9:46 p.m. along the 6600 block of North Smedley Street.

At that time, officials said, officers responding to a report of a person with a firearm discovered a 19-year-old man who had been shot in the groin.

The victim, officials said, was transported to a nearby hospital where he was listed in stable condition.

Investigators said that they have not yet determined a motive for this shooting and no arrests have yet been made.

But, an investigation is ongoing, police said.
