RUTHERFORD CO., Tenn. (WSMV) - Heavy rainfall continues to make a mess of the roadways across Middle Tennessee on Tuesday morning.

Update 8:45 a.m. All lanes of I-24 East at Exit 66 in Rutherford County are now open.

Update 6:45 A tow truck was called in and has loaded what appears to be a white vehicle onto its truck bed. One THP trooper remains on the left shoulder of I-24 East, as well as the tanker truck.

Two lanes of traffic are steadily moving through the area.

Previous A crash has shut down two lanes of Interstate 24 East in Rutherford County.

Tennessee Highway Patrol and local police have blocked the left two lanes of I-24 East at the Sam Ridley Parkway Exit (Exit 66), where it appears a tanker truck has crashed with a small white vehicle.

The crash was reported around 5:4
