A man is dead and another is seriously injured in Seattle’s Chinatown-International District neighborhood after a shooting Monday night, Seattle police said in an online blotter post.
Officers were dispatched to a shooting at 12th Avenue South and South Lane Street shortly after 9:40 p.m. and found an adult man with gunshot wounds who later died despite lifesaving efforts.
Another man was found with a gunshot wound to the leg. He was sent to Harborview Medical Center in serious condition, police said.
Police are investigating what led to the shooting. Seattle Police Chief Shon Barnes told KING5 that there was an altercation between two groups of people and one had pulled out a gun.
