A 31-year-old parent is facing two charges after allegedly driving dangerously through the property of their child's school in Oshawa Friday, Durham police say.
At 3:40 p.m. Friday, officers responded to reports of a vehicle driving dangerously through the parking lot and sports field at G.L. Roberts Collegiate Vocational Institute, Durham police said in a news release Tuesday. The vehicle was also seen driving dangerously toward students in the area, before the driver fled along a nearby waterfront trail, police said.
Police said the driver was later identified as the parent of a student at the school. The man, 31, allegedly drove through the school property after learning their child had been involved in an altercation with other students.
