Two foster parents have been charged after police say two children were assaulted in their home, with one suffering “life-altering injuries.”
Officers arrived at the home Sept. 19 after receiving a report a child had been seriously injured and had not received immediate medical care, the Winnipeg Police Service said in a news release Tuesday morning.
Police said the home is in the north area of the city.
The school-aged child was rushed to hospital in critical condition with “life-altering” injuries, police said.
Three other children were removed from the home and received medical care. One showed signs of being assaulted but was in stable condition, police said.
