BATON ROUGE, La. (Louisiana First) — An arrest has been made in connection with a pedestrian struck on Friday, Sept. 19.

Paul Leduff, 56, of Greenwell Springs, was charged with hit-and-run vehicular homicide/injuring, reckless operation of a vehicle, switched license plate, operating while intoxicated; second offense, and insurance required.

Leduff was arrested just before midnight on Friday, Sept. 19, after the Baton Rouge Police Department responded to I-10 West at Dalrymple Drive. BRPD learned that a white truck hit the pedestrian.

Officers found the truck and two people inside, including a driver and a passenger. An officer found evidence that led them to believe someone tried to remove a switched license plate from the truck.
